Lanworth, Inc.

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data is provided in shapefile and/or GeoDatabase format. The data copyrighted and will be licensed to you. The key features of data are:

1. Each parcel is represented by a polygon.

2. Road right-of-ways are typically represented by a polygon

3. The data is topologically correct (e.g. no parcel overlap, no gaps, etc…)

4. The data has been geo-referenced to the best available set of USGS Aerial Photos (DOQQs), making the data spatially accurate

5. Multiple attributes are included in the shapefile/GeoDatabase. Some of the attributes are: owner name, owner address, assessed value, deed acres, GIS acres, etc…

6. The data is provided in a UTM map projection that is appropriate for the given area.

Once the data is in your GIS, you are free to explore and use it as you see fit. For example, you can overlay it on FEMA Flood Zone data to see how much of a parcel falls into the flood zone. You can also overlay it on school district information to see which school district the parcel falls in. The uses are limitless.
